How to Arm Knit Step by Step: Part 4 – Repeat to Length

You don’t have to know anything about knitting to make a beautiful arm knit scarf! Here is part one of this how to arm knit step by step tutorial. Be sure to check out all the pictures and watch the instruction video tutorial.

What You Need:

This scarf is a really quick and easy project. You’ll only need about an hour of time, a little practice, and of course, your two arms. I’ve found the best results in using two strands of bulky yarn at the same time. Here are a few of the bulky weight yarns I recommend:

You’ll need two skeins of bulky yarn at approximately 100 yards each.

Arm Knit Infinity Scarf Cowl Measurements

The infinity scarf/cowl is the best project to start when learning how to arm knit.

Your finished scarf/cowl will measure approximately 60″ long (before joining) and 12″ wide.


How to Arm Knit Instructions: Part 4

Step 1: All of the stitches will alternate from your right arm to the left arm.


Step 2: Repeat the process on both your right arm and the left, the stitches are the same.



Step 3: Continue until you reach around 60″ and the stitches are on your left arm. Make sure you have at least 4 yards of yarn left on the skein to cast off.
